Should You Roll or Fold the Clothes When Packing?

Many people are eager and enthusiastic to travel to different places with different purposes but the only thing disturbs them is how to pack the clothes in their luggage. If they are unable to pack the clothes properly, the clothes will get wrinkled and not looks good when they wear them while traveling especially for business. So, be careful while you are packing the clothes in your luggage bag.

However, the traditional way of packing the clothes is folding. From over many years, this is the common method following by many routine travelers. They fold the clothes and place them in a suitcase. Nowadays, another way of packing the clothes has been adopting by the people. This method is called rolling. Travelers pack the clothes in either way. These methods have both advantages and disadvantages. The third way of folding is bundle wrapping using by the travelers to pack the clothes in a better way.

Folding method: Folding clothes is a traditional way of packing and is easily preferred. To fold the clothes such as cotton button-down shirts and slacks, unwanted creases are shown wherever the clothes are half-folded but this folding works well for cotton clothes.

Rolling: Rolling the clothes tightly into compact pieces allows you to pack much more items into the suitcase. It cuts down creases but sometimes it creates wrinkly messes. This method is beneficial if it is applied on small items especially those made of synthetic fabrics such as nylon or rayon. This method works well for socks, shorts, synthetic T-shirts, pajamas and sweats.

Bundle wrapping: It is a technique that packs the clothes into one solid bundle that fits tightly into your luggage so that it will leave you with the fewest wrinkles and unwanted creases. Here the trick is to put the smallest and least wrinkle-able clothing on the inside of the bundle, surrounding it by layers of larger and more easily wrinkled garments.
