How to become popular?

Develop your people skills and be popular. All the popular people share a common character, people skills.

Step out of your comfort zone. Popular people generally make conversations, crack jokes, flirt, in fact they are always engaged in doing something. If you are a shy kind of person, you must be brave to come out of your situation and prepare to be bold. You must be friendly to be popular. Always be ready to start a conversation be it friends or strangers. Always keep a smile on your face. Stay away from controversial topics and be polite.

Do not think about yourself. Do not worry about how you look, how you dress, how you sound and how you judge. Always try to look from others point of view. Try to relate the topics you talk to them, make them involve in what you do. Always try to encourage others to talk.

Try to be others helping hand. Do not ignore what other people say, listen to them carefully, and try to help as much as you can. Do not be selfish. Respect the other people’s feelings; make them feel comfortable while sharing their feelings. If you cannot help them in anyway, at least tell them that you are with them.

Be yourself do not try too hard. If you cannot say or do anything nice, don’t say or do it. Avoid negative gossip.

Sternlicht's $100 Million Luxury Hotel Firm

The founder and CEO of Starwood Hotels, Barry Sternlicht, is into raising a hefty amount to start a new luxury brand in hospitality industry.

What amuses me here is that how can a person raise such a big amount of money all by himself? I agree that he is the founder of one of the largest hotel companies, which has around 930 franchised properties, and 155,000 employees; but I don’t think he can do all by himself with just that image.

By the way, he is looking for around $100 million in order to set up a new luxury hotel firm that can develop and handle assets under the name of a luxury brand.

At present, he was successful in convincing his present Starwood Capital investor – the Oregon Investment Council, to invest a $5 million into this. Oregon is expecting a good income for this firm in the form of licensing fees for use of its brands, hotel management fees; also in the form of equity invested in some of the hotels by Starwood Hotels group.

Good confidence levels…

Technology Introduces Pen-Translator to the World

Technology is changing everyday and very rapidly. It is providing us all those gadgets which humans of a century ago couldn’t even imagine of it.

So, this time we have a machine translator in the size of not bigger than any ordinary pen.
This is named as Iris Pen translator and is said to work at a speed of recognizing 3.15 inches or 8 cm per second and also retyping 1,000 characters per second (Iris Pen Express) and is obtained at a compatibility of scanning and recognizing 128 languages. And what is great with this thing is that it is USB powered and doesn’t require any battery.

The Esquire Technologies is the distributor of this pen. This pen is available in three models IRIS Pen Executive 6, IRIS Pen Translator 6, IRIS Pen Express 6. The compatibility and speed and even price, varies from model to model.

But no machine can ever be equal to a manual translator.

What Does Your Dream Say?

I find it hard to interpret a good dream whenever I come out of my sleep. Believe me; if I could writer down all those dreams on a paper I would be more popular than JK Rowling.

There is a science called dream interpretation which says that dreams have something to do with our past our future. More clearly, if a person sleeps well and sound, he can look into the future events, related to him or someone at some place of the earth. These foreseeing may not be direct all the times. They come in some symbolic scenes which can be well explained by dream interpretation.

Though it is not possible to control your dreams because your brain will be in rest condition at that time, it is possible in case of a dream when you are at a sufficient alert condition. This is how people see day dreams. They can do all those things in those dreams which are not possible or not have happened in real.

Where Is The "Fan” Ship Heading To?

Who is your favorite actor or politician or a player? Everyone is a fan of someone in life. But it is a good thing to show it in a better way. Recently when a college student reported that she was attacked by some follower of Obama, it impacted him at slight levels. But when it was found that she was lying on the attack, now it is McCain’s turn to face the negative impact. It was really a fan-ship of the girl that made her do this entire thing. I really don’t know if it is towards McCain or against a “black” citizen becoming the president. Whatever it may be, it definitely impacts McCain during voting session.

Fans are the persons who make a person or a team great. It is always great to have fan following. But as the celebrities enjoy the fan fare, they will also be responsible for the stalking of their fans. So dear people, if you want to do something for your favorites, do something of which they will be proud of you. If you do something silly, you will end up in throwing them into troubles.

How can video games help you?

Video games and computer games are the worst nightmare of most parents. Video game addiction has the same impact as of drug addiction and may be more. It just sucks up all the valuable time of the people and harms their eyes and so on…These are the adverse affects of playing a video game. But playing video games can also be very helpful. Yes, I know this will be good news for the video game players. All you have to do is to keep away those alien casting, bomb blasting useless games. They are just created to make money to the game creators. There are really some games in the game market that helps improve the tactical thinking of human beings. These games will be available in the same stores where you buy your games or in the same websites where you download your games usually. All that is needed from your side is to have a positive view while playing the games. And it all needs around 3 months time to feel the magic.

All the best…

The Structure Of PPC Management

Today PPC advertising is fast growing online promotional campaign and it the process of managing your every bid for successful generation of profitable leads. Generally PPC follow clear cut procedures for monitoring the conversion ratio of your site visitors besides keeping the required checks on click-fraud practices. In a PPC Ads campaign, you are needed to pay some amount for every click that you receive through the searchers. And it's based on the bids that you have won for the exact keywords you get your site listed in "sponsored listing" at the first page of the search results itself. The PPC campaign is designed solely to increase traffic and finally increase ROI. The process of PPC Management comprises the following:
  • PPC account setup: this can be done in any of the PPC search engines such as Google, yahoo, MSN, etc.
  • PPC keyword research: Keywords and key phrases form the basis of PPC management. With an extensive PPC keyword research one gets a fair idea of which is the most sought after keywords/key phrases. The keyword research is also about getting your own list of keywords that you deem right - the one which can ultimately help you connect with your potential customers. Today many Professional SEO Companies are offering keyword research tools at reasonable price.
  • Creative Ads development: Your site getting listed in sponsored listing will not make any sense if you don't have a good Ad. Reason others will have the same. So this is another significant part of the PPC management since it’s through this Ad content that you would finally communicate. A good, creative Ad can make the variation to captivate the searchers to click on your site rather than scores beside you.
  • PPC bid management: You definitely wouldn't like to pay more for something that doesn't pay back. In fact PPC bid management is all about that. It helps you bid comprehensibly for specific keywords. It also helps you balance various costs among terms, Ads and campaigns.
  • Landing page identification: Landing page is the pages where the user will be transferred to once they click your Ad. And this is the key factor that actually decides the conversion rates of your visitors into potential customers. It is important to connect with your visitors and try to convince them why they did the right thing by clicking your Ad.

A Vindication Of The Rights Of Woman

A Vindication of the Rights of Woman: with Strictures on Political and Moral Subjects (1792), written by the eighteenth-century British feminist Mary Wollstonecraft is one of the initial works of feminist philosophy. In it, Wollstonecraft responds to the educational and political theorists of the eighteenth century who required denying women an education. She argues that women ought to have an education equal with their position in society, claiming that women are necessary to the nation because they educate its children and because they could be "companions" to their husbands, rather than mere wives. Instead of viewing women as ornaments to society or property to be traded in marriage, Wollstonecraft maintains that they are human beings deserving of the same basic rights as men.

Wollstonecraft was prompted to write the Rights of Woman by Charles Maurice de Talleyrand-Perigord's 1791 report to the French National Assembly which stated that women should only receive a domestic education; she used her commentary on this specific event to launch a broad attack against sexual double principles and to indict men for encouraging women to indulge in excessive emotion. Wollstonecraft wrote the Rights of Woman quickly in order to respond directly to ongoing events; she intended to write a more thoughtful second volume, but she died before finishing it.

While Wollstonecraft does call for equality between the sexes in particular areas of life, such as ethics, she does not explicitly state that men and women are equal. Her uncertain statements regarding the equality of the sexes have since made it hard to classify Wollstonecraft as a modern feminist, mainly since the word and the concept were unavailable to her. Although it is commonly assumed now that the Rights of Woman was unfavorably received, this is a modern fallacy based on the belief that Wollstonecraft was as reviled during her lifetime as she became after the publication of William Godwin's Memoirs of the Author of A Vindication of the Rights of Woman (1798). The Rights of Woman was actually well-received when it was first published in 1792. One biographer has called it "perhaps the most original book of century".

Scope Of Marketing management

Marketing management is a business regulation focused on the practical application of marketing techniques and the management of a firm's marketing resources and activities. Marketing managers are regularly responsible for influencing the level, timing, and composition of customer demand in a manner that will accomplish the company's objectives. There is no commonly accepted definition of the term. In part, this is due to the fact that the role of a marketing manager can vary significantly based on a business' size, corporate culture, and industry context. For example, in a large consumer products company, the marketing manager may act as the overall general manager of his or her assigned product category or brand with full profit & loss accountability. In contrast, a small law firm may have no marketing personnel at all, requiring the firm's partners to make marketing management decisions on a mainly informal basis.

In the extensively used text Marketing Management (2006), Philip Kotler and Kevin Lane Keller describe marketing management as "the art and science of choosing target markets and getting, keeping and growing customers through creating, delivering, and communicating superior customer value." From this viewpoint, the scope of marketing management is quite wide. The implication of such a definition is that any activity or resource the firm uses to get customers and manage the company's relationships with them is within the purview of marketing management. In addition, the Kotler and Keller definition encompasses both the development of new products and services and their delivery to customers. Noted marketing expert Regis McKenna expressed a similar view in his influential 1991 Harvard Business Review article "Marketing is everything." McKenna argued that because marketing management encompasses all factors that influence a company's capacity to deliver value to customers; it must be "all-pervasive, part of everyone's job description, from the receptionists to the Board of Directors."

But because many businesses functions with a greatly more limited definition of marketing, such statements can appear contentious or even ludicrous to some business executives. This is particularly true in those companies where the marketing department is accountable for little more than developing sales brochures and executing advertising campaigns. The broader, more sophisticated definitions of marketing management from Drucker, Kotler and other scholars are therefore juxtaposed against the narrower operating actuality of many businesses. The source of confusion here is often that inside any given firm, the term marketing management may be interpreted to mean whatever the marketing department happens to do, rather than a term that encompasses all marketing activities even those marketing activities that are really performed by other departments, such as the sales, finance, or operations departments. If, for example, the finance department of a given company makes pricing decisions, that finance department has accountability for an important component of marketing management pricing.

Pros And Cons Of Ibuprofen

Generally we are using Ibuprofen drug when we have pain or fever. Because its can be available from any drugstore without having a doctor's prescription. Its generic name is Iso-butyl-propanoic-phenolic acid. But we have to take some precautions before using these drug otherwise it can be dangerous to our health. It was developed by Stewart Adams by the Boots Company in 1961 for rheumatoid arthritis treatment in U.S and U.K. Its dosage depends on the body mass of the user and it better to consult the pharmacist or the doctor or follow the directions given in the packing. Particularly who are higher risk of injuries and sportsmen its help a lot and also, it puts the user to lesser risk of gastrointestinal problems. Ibuprofen as a Nonsteroidal anti immflammatory drug (NSAID) has proved to be very successful for patients experiencing reasonable to minor pains and aches. It is now a very frequently used painkiller by those suffering from osteoarthritis. In fact, many prefer it to aspirin, as the latter tends to worsen digestive problems, ulcers and stomach related ailments.

Some studies shows that Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease was much lesser in people taking low dosages of Ibuprofen over a long period. Still Ibuprofen has come in for some criticism too. Some researches shows that in people with heart problems who take Ibuprofen for relief from osteoarthritis pain, the risk of getting heart attacks and strokes is greater. Studies are also being conducted to discover the effect of Ibuprofen in heart patients who are taking aspirin. Research has not been conclusive on the suggestion that Ibuprofen actually nullifies the blood thinning capability of aspirin. So heart patients better to take the consult their doctor before taking both simultaneously. Ibuprofen must be used with caution during pregnancy as studies suspect that it increases the risk of miscarriage during the first 2 trimesters. The problem with Ibuprofen is that people do not stick to the prescribed dosage; it could result in side effects like nausea, headache, ulcers, dizziness, and hypertension and in acute cases in heart or renal failures. Like other drugs, the use of ibuprofen has both its virtues and vices. So choosing the correct dosage, and at appropriate intervals can help ibuprofen users ease their pain.
