Know About Toyota Recalls

Toyota, the famous Japanese auto maker, plays a vital role in the auto market of the world. But during the present days, the company has stopped its production and sales because of many recalls which are related to unintended acceleration.

Right from the year 2007, the problems started and till now, the recalls are continuing. Generally, the problems which are forcing company to recall are brakes, acceleration, floor mats , gas pedals etc. Which made the company to end up with loss in the sales. Initially, the recall rate was low during the years 2007 and 2008. But, the recall rates are on hike. Recall rates started right from the models Lexus to Prius and even the Corolla and the Corolla Matrix. Even recently i.e., in the month of August 2010, 1.13 million vehicles were recalled because of engine control modules which were improperly manufactured.

Toyota is one of the biggest car manufacturers in the world and its image has been tarnished because of the recent recalls. Day by day, the problems related to lack of safety measures have increased and this is leading to serious crashes. Even some of the recalled vehicles which were repaired still have some problems. Thus, the recalls make the company to end up with multiple lawsuits.

Thus, the best auto makers ended up with shadows of tarnished reputation because of safety problems. Thus, the Japanese car maker is even going to drop from second position among Asian car makers in U.S because of its consecutive recalls and stopping production and sales. So, lets hope that Toyota should end up with problems and stop recalling.
